Since 2015, VARTA supports a variety of different anti-poaching projects, namely in Namibia. VARTA’s main goal is to create awareness with the ultimate aim to make people understand that immediate action and change is required in order to preserve a countries’ wildlife and heritage. Positive results have been seen over the past few years and slowly but surely the hard work and support of wildlife organizations is paying off.

VARTA SUPPORTS the Namibian
Lion Trust Foundation
Rechargeable Batteries for NLTF’s Trail Cameras, as well as product for their dedicated Namibian Lion Trust Team are being supplied by VARTA. The Lion Guards, ‘Keepers of the Wilderness’, are dedicated to protecting the lion as well as mitigating farmer- lion conflict in Namibia’s north-west (Kunene Region). The Namibian Lion Trust uses GPS-Satellite collars to track & monitor lion and is committed to the long-term protection and conservation of the lion and other large carnivores that co-exist in the Namibian landscape. Workable solutions are being explored to the present human-lion conflict without threatening the survival of the lion and other large carnivore species. VARTA and the Namibian Lion Trust Foundation strive to inspire people, young and old, to respect and protect fauna and flora in their natural habitats, and to ultimately protect the Namibian Lion Population.
